RV Camping

Do you wish you could take all the comforts of home with you while camping in the outdoors? You can! RV camping is becoming more popular than ever, as campers are looking for an authentic outdoor experience, but with amenities that make the experience just a bit more comfortable. Why deal with the hassle of air travel, expensive hotel rooms, and rental cars when you can have everything you need in one vehicle that gives you the flexibility to go wherever you want, and even stop along the way to enjoy beautiful sights?

RV travel is great for couples, families, or groups of friends and can create real quality bonding and unforgettable experiences. If you’re thinking about RV camping, it’s best to do some research beforehand as RV campsites differ in terms of their size and amenities. To start, make sure that your RV will fit in the campsite you choose, as most campsites will set limits on the size of the RVs that they let in.

It is also important to consider before your trip about how much comfort you’re willing to compromise before you choose your RV site because some sites are more luxurious than others in terms of the amenities they offer. The most basic RV camp sites typically do not have running water and electricity and are mostly used as simply grounds to park your vehicle. On the other end of the spectrum, full hook-up sites have running water, sewage systems, electricity, designated showers and even sometimes cable television! Of course, if you’re looking to take the middle ground you can find an RV site with simple amenities like running water, but without a sewage system for the bathroom.

Packing for an RV trip is pretty much like packing for your regular outdoor camping trip. You’ll need to bring bedding, silverware and kitchen supplies to cook and eat, bugspray, camping chairs, trash bags, etc. Just like with camping, outdoor conservation should be a priority, so make sure you choose your products ethically, especially your hygiene products. Combat Wipes are a great solution to your outdoor hygiene needs as they keep you clean and fresh, but are also biodegradable and safe for the planet.

The great thing about an RV is that there should be plenty of space to store supplies, so you don’t need to worry about stuffing your gear into your private car, especially if you are an over-packer. Some people like to tow their own personal vehicle behind their RV so that they have the freedom to roam from the campsite and take shorter day trips.

Lastly, prioritize safety first. Make sure to have a technical manual handy in case you run into any trouble during your trip. Always have the number of a repair man handy incase your RV breaks down and you end up getting

stuck. Restrictions due to Covid-19 can put limits on the amount of RVs certain campsites are letting in so make sure you make a reservation well in advance so you don’t get stuck with nowhere to park. Now get out on the road and enjoy!
